Damages

I'm sure you people that still check this blog are getting tired of the very rare updates and vows to fix that. I truly will, come December, when student teaching is over, and I can afford to have a life again. Until then, I am behind on everything. It's already the 25th of the month and I haven't even started my short story for my book web site. I know, I know. I'm terrible. But I will prevail, and after December, you will feel my presence. Until then, if you want your regular does of Jimmy, check out the podcast I do with Nick Nitro, The Good, The Bad, & The Geeky. We update every week. We didn't always, but we have kept that schedule for a month or so, and we do intend to keep it going. It's really taking off. You can find it on iTunes, or at the show's web site. It's really something, I think, and we have lots more surprises in store for our loyal listeners! And yes, An Actor's Nightmare Book 3 will be out soon.

What could possibly break my once-again lengthy code of silence on the blog? Every once in awhile, a show comes along that just completely wows you. I mean, really. I know I like lots of shows, but the ones that join my top tier are few and far between. We're talking your Buffy the Vampire Slayers, your Deep Space Nines, your Sports Nights. Shows unique in nature, and long lasting in mind. The newest to join that rank: the first year drama Damages, which just completed its initial run on FX. While the show has not yet been picked up for a second season, they should just hand the Emmy and the Golden Globe to Glenn Close. While they're at it, give a supporting actor nod to Zeljko Ivanek (Live Free or Die Hard, Oz, The Manchurian Candidate). Rose Byrne stars, and Ted Danson and Tate Donavan round out the actors you need to know. I haven't watched the finale, it's paused on my tv screen right now, but I know without a doubt it will finish strong.

The show began in the summer, with poor Ellen (Byrne) in a trench coat covered in blood on a dark street. Over the ensuing thirteen weeks, we soon learned that her fiance was dead, and her boss, Patty Hughes (Close), may have tried to kill them both. Most of the story takes place in the months leading up to that fateful scenes as Patty and Ellen attempt to make a case against Ted Danson, but the action catches up the opening by the penultimate episode. I have much to say about this show, and will this Sunday on our podcast, but I can delay my anticipation no longer. It's on to the finale!

Welcome Back, Wetzel

Taking a cue from my good friend Mr. Kotter, I welcome you all back to a new edition of my blog! The summer is over for me, and as such I promise regular updates of at least once a week. I'd love to do them more often, but things are about to get even more busy for me, if that is possible. I would love to tell you all about my summer, such as all the hours worked and class took, but that would be boring. Instead, I present 7 Fun Things That Happened to me!

1. I played duck-duck-goose with adults. Yes, adults. No, not those young adults in their twenties, but real adults whose age ranged from late 30's up into the 60's. It was quite fun. My family rocks. And are creative on getting a seat when there aren't enough chairs around the campfire.
2. I saw Jonathan star in Bye Bye Birdie. Yes, I mentioned this before, but it bears repeating He did a really great job, and it was really cool.
3. I drove Lisa to and from her job a few times. This was fun because I got to see her. I did hang out with her a couple of times that weren't job related, but I enjoyed those drives and frozen beverages.
4. Karoke night at Havana was also fun. Again, Lisa was involved, as were Joe, Mary, Esther, Cindy, Evan, and many others. I'm not a great singer, but I appreciate their encouragement and support. I look forward to more fun nights with them soon.
5. I watched lots of Gilmore Girls with Amanda and sometimes Andrea. Amanda sat through 12 seasons of Buffy and Angel with me, and this was her TV pick. We're late into Season 4 now, and I'm really enjoying it.
6. I went drinking with my Champps coworkers plenty of times. This was much fun.
7. I got a new kitten less than two weeks ago. His name is Snugglebunny Fucktard. Thanks to my brother David for helping me name him. Pics and stories of S.F. to come soon.

Grey's Anatomy Spinoff

I have been getting more and more excited about the new Grey's Anatomy spin off. I love the show, and I can't wait for a double helping every week. Luckily, in the next 3 or 4 episodes before they do the two hour finale slash spin off pilot, there will be some more great things, including a new doctor, and Shoresh Adshaloo, or whatever her name is. I adored her on 24, X-Men 3, and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. And Callie (Tony award winning actress Sara Ramirez) will supposedly be discovered to be a lounge singer during her off shifts from the hospital. Yay! The bad thing is, the cast is supposedly up in arms that Addison got the spin off. They all wanted it. Oh, well. Now for the Top Ten Reasons I'm excited about the new Grey's Anatomy spin off. Most reference actors cast to star in the new show.
10. Chris Lowell... this actor has been so barely used on Veronica Mars this season that I have no idea if he's any good or not.
9. Merrin Dungey... although I was never a big fan of Francie on Alias, it's cool that she's been cast. Maybe I'll like her more this time.
8. Amy Brenneman... Star of Judging Amy and NYPD Blue, I never watched either. I hear she's great. Can't wait to see her.
7. I'm bound to learn to do some medical procedures if I keep watching this stuff.
6. No Meredith. That will make me smile. Meredith can be pretty lame.
5. Kate Walsh is like my favorite Grey's Anatomy star. If anyone deserves the spin off, it's her.
4. Lisa Kudrow... Who doesn't like Phoebe from Friends, or the numerous movie and other tv roles that Lisa has played? It surprises me that she has signed on to star, but I'm ok with it.
3. Marti Noxon... She helped Joss keep Buffy and Angel both high quality shows. I'm sure she can help Shonda do the same.
2. Tim Daly... I was so disappointed when Eyes and The Nine flopped, because I love Tim Daly, and I loved both shows. It's about time he was attached to a winning project. He's being billed at McDreamy 2.0 and a love interest for Addison.
1. Have you read that all star lineup I just talked about? Yeah, enough said. Grey's Anatomy as if it had been made with big names. It's got to do well.

Qop! (from Eyes, which I guess aired the rest of their season one from spring 2005 these past few months, but I missed them :()
Meg Bardo: Sir, with a soundproof room, a butane lighter and a pair of pliers, I'll get him to tell where that girl is.
Chris Didion: Well, be all that you can be.
Meg Bardo: Yes, sir.
Chris Didion: Let's keep that for the backup plan.
Meg Bardo: Right.

Musings Part 1,383,292... or so it seems :)

So I've been watching Dawson's Creek (Lisa, you can read this. I won't spoil anything). The final season came out and of course I'm addicted to watching it, and of course being emotionally moved, sometimes to tears, as Dawson often does to me. But instead of getting into that, because I don't want to spoil anything for Lisa, I've been thinking about my life and intrests. When I was younger, I read constantly. I was incluenced greatly by Judy Blume, Beverly Clearly, Bruce Coville, Lynn Reid Banks, L. Frank Baum... and then later by Peter David, J.K. Rowling, Diane Carey, and many others. It was probably part of the reason I turned to writing. I wrote my first chapter book in 3rd grade. I have been writing ever since. In contrast, tv meant very little to me. A couple of years ago, however, I discovered what great storytelling can exist on tv. Yes, I still do enjoy the occasional dumb sitcom, but my fascination with tv stems from my fascination with storytelling, not because I'm a couch potato junkie. I couldn't imagine tv shows as good as books until I discovered Star Trek: Deep Space 9, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Dawson's Creek, Firefly, Felicity, Lost, 24, and a host of others. The people that create this stuff (Joss Whedon, Ira Steven Behr, J.J. Abrams, etc.) are every bit as good a writer as the authors I loved. The actors they choose bring their stories to life, and while I still love books, there's a lot to be said for television, which is now in it's renaisance. Especially the serial series. When I was writing my first published book, I was just starting to discover the tv world. I think it did influence my writing. I imagined that book as a television season, and I would be thrilled beyond measure if someday it became one. I like to tell a serial story, where the part fit together, the story goes on for years, but it's one long story. One that is complicated, with characters that grow and change. I don't think I'm awesome at it, but I'm not ashamed of my first book, and I think my stories will continue to get better. I live life through my stories since I'm not leading the life I dream of. If I'm lucky, someday I will get to. We'll see. If you haven't read my book, please do so, then if you like it tell everyone. I will follow my dream of telling stories. In the meantime, I'm back to Dawson and watching others' stories. I need to know what's going to happen to Dawson, Joey, Pacey, Jenn, Jack, Grams, Todd, Audrey, Natasha, and the rest!

Qop! (from Season Six of Dawson's Creek)
Joey: Dawson, I'm sorry I don't have the same dreams I had when I was 15 years old, and I'm sorry that I moved on faster than you did, but you know what? Maybe not everything that happens to you is my fault! And maybe just because I want more from my life than...
Dawson: More than what? More than us? You don't know, do you? You've never known. The entire time I've known you, all you've wanted to do is escape. From me, from Capeside. I mean, you say that I'm the dreamer. I'm the one who doesn't wanna live in the real world. Well, I'm doing it, Joey. Right now. I'm living in the real world. It's you who wants the fantasy

My Alias

My book is selling ok so far...keep buying people! :) Go to www.amazon.com and search the title An Actor's Nightmare to purchase your copy today! Anyway, other than that I have been working my butt off. Still pulling full time hours at Steak N Shake and substituting every day (except not today because it was a snow day, which disappointed me). But the reason for my entry:
Alias is finally coming to an end. It was inevitable, and I said all summer this should be it's last season. However, they did a major cast overhaul and there were so many ways to go with it so I was finally getting comfortable with the idea that the show would go on. That and Jennifer Garner supposedly signed a contract to take the show through 2007. Then the bad news comes around Thanksgiving. This will indeed be Alias's last season. Now they are rocketing towards one exicitng closer! Vaughn is dead, and Irena is back! Or is Vaugh dead? Maybe? Some of my friends think not. Something is going on with Sydney's baby, and now Prophet Five and SD-6 are connected! Yes, this is going to be one well of a season. If they could just bring back Weiss and Marshall's wife I'd be happier. Oh, well. Here we go!
P.S. The rumor out is that Star Trek XI will focus on the mirror universe and star William Shatner and Patrick Stewart, and possibly Scott Bakula. Anyone else afraid of this concept?
P.P.S. Go Eva Longaria for being included with the rest of the Housewives in this year's Golden Globes nominations, and Candence Bergen for her nomination. Also props to My Name Is Earl and the much better than last season Grey's Anatomy. Now will they halt the possible cancellation of Arrested Development? I mean, we're going to get Justine Bateman fod goodness sakes! Fox, don't cancel it!!!

WILLOW: Promise me you'll never be linear.

Happy Birthday Timmy J!

Tomorrow would have been Timothy Jesser's birthday. I miss him. We had a little party for him on Saturday at T.G.I.Fridays. It was great. Friends, teachers, his family, fun, cake, food, pictures, and memories. I am so glad we did it. I don't know how much else to put on here about it because I've written about it before and I've said what I wanted to say, several times over. I am dedicating my first book to him, had planned on it since I first started writing, so that will be my tribute.
Then a bunch of us went to see The Exorcism of Emily Rose. I had no desire to see it because it looked scary, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a courtroom thing with flashbacks to the exorcism and while those were a bit startling, it was very well done. And it was based on a true story. This girl named Emily died and the priest who had earlier performed an unsuccessful exorcism on her was charged for negligence for encouraging her to abandon medical treatment. It was very dramatic and cool. I won't tell you how it ends. The priest and his lawyer were great actors, and it had our favorite beige queen from last season's 24.
Continuing with season premiere critiques, American Dad's Patrick Stewart heavy premiere was great. Stan's liberal daughter begins seeing his conservative, very old, boss (Stewart). The sex jokes out of Stewart's mouth are hilarious. Family Guy was even funnier. Brian began dating Meg's black teacher, and Peter decided he would replace Brian's friendship with James Woods. There was a great scene on the bridge of the Enterprise-D with Stewart and Michael Dorn and possibly Jonathan Frakes lending their voices. That is it so far on the premieres, although I have to comment that The Flight That Fought Back on Discovery was very moving. It was about Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania on Sept. 11

Qop! (long one, but good; from the Buffy episode "Flood")
GILES: (over his shoulder) You're a very stupid girl.
WILLOW: What? Giles...
GILES: (turns to face her) Do you have any idea what you've done? The forces you've harnessed, the lines you've crossed?
WILLOW: I thought you'd be ... impressed, or, or something.
GILES: Oh, don't worry, you've ... made a very deep impression. Of everyone here ... you were the one I trusted most to respect the forces of nature.
WILLOW: Are you saying you don't trust me?
GILES: (intensely) Think what you've done to Buffy.
WILLOW: I brought her back!
GILES: At incredible risk!
WILLOW: Risk? Of what? Making her deader?
GILES: Of killing us all. Unleashing hell on Earth, I mean, shall I go on?
WILLOW: No! (stands) Giles, I did what I had to do. I did what nobody else could do.
GILES: Oh, there are others in this world who can do what you did. You just don't want to meet them. (turns away again)
WILLOW: No, probably not, but ... well, they're the bad guys. I'm not a bad guy. (upset) I brought Buffy back into this world, a-and maybe the word you should be looking for is "congratulations."
GILES: Having Buffy back in the world makes me feel ... indescribably wonderful, but I wouldn't congratulate you if you jumped off a cliff and happened to survive.
WILLOW: That's not what I did, Giles.
GILES: (angry) You were lucky.
WILLOW: I wasn't lucky. I was amazing. And how would you know? You weren't even there.
GILES: If I had been, I'd have bloody well stopped you. The magicks you channeled are more ferocious and primal than anything you can hope to understand, (even more angry) and you are lucky to be alive, you rank, arrogant amateur!

Wow!

I just checked my web site stats and I have had well over 200 hits in the past week. Not on my blog, but on my main web site. Why is this? I have no idea! I don't advertise it or anything. That makes me excited. Sorry I haven't been quicker with posting book info, but I will have it all up and running in time for the release. I am so excited about it that there's hardly anything else to talk about on here.
I am actually unemployed officially at the moment. Although I will be officially hired again soon, this week I have not worked or earned any income. How strange is that? It's so weird. I just stopped showing up for the one part time job I was working. I hated it so much. I didn't give them any notice, but I'd only been working it for less than two weeks, so I really didn't feel like I needed to. They were nice people, but I just couldn't stand it anymore.
It's now official Premiere Season as the summer shows have ended. A quick run down on what I am watching:
Reno 9-1-1 ~ ended on much less of a cliffhanger than usual, but will they execute Trudy's new husband? Hmm.
Stella ~ Is it still on? I don't know. It just disappeared.
Family Guy ~ It's been off for a month but it's back this weekend, and so is American Dad. Yay!
Greg the Bunny ~ It's back on, but it's on IFC, a premium channel, so I don't get to see it. :(
Prison Break ~ Started off really good, although a big disturbing. It has Eve from Angel and is produced by Marti Noxon. Interesting.
The Daily Show ~ After a week off, Stewart is back and ATTACKING Bush and FEMA. I've never seen him so angry. Weird.
Veronica Mars ~ With only about four episodes under my belt, I don't feel prepared for the new season, but I'll give it a shot. Season One hits DVD in late Oct so I can catch up.
Medium ~ I just saw the pilot, finally, and am ready to go for Season Two in two weeks. It's going to be fantastic.

My Web Site

For those of you who come straight to his blog and skip over my main site, please don't, because my counter is on my main site. :) I get hundreds of visitors a month on my counter, but I want an accurate number. Speaking of my site, it is being revamped, so it would be really cool if you checked it out. It won't contain all that personal crap it used to. I will still maintain this blog, and the blog will still be on a personal level, but the rest of the site it being changed to promote the book series. It will have character profiles, description of the plot (no spoilers), the latest info on publicity events, cool stuff for sale, and that kind of thing. I have already begun the revamp and I think it's going to be really cool. If you want to know when the book goes on sale, that will be the place to check for the latest info. I know this entry didn't sound very personal, and I'm sorry, but that's life. :)

And then if I want someone to eat m, er, to enjoy warm delicious cookie me, then that's fine." ~ Buffy "Chosen"

Dawson's Creek

THIS DOES NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS TO THE OVERALL SERIES, ALTHOUGH IT OUTLINES ONE EPISODE THAT DOES NOT BEAR INTO ANY LONG TERMS OF 5th SEASON ARCS. IT IS SAFE TO READ, LISA! I have been watching the Dawson's Creek DVDs for quite some time now. When I got Season 5 a few months ago, I had been excited to watch it but it wasn't until this week when I got the chance. I have always regarded the show as a bit trashy and was slightly embarrassed that I liked it and was addicted to it, but I couldn't help myself. I'm a sucker for sappy stuff, even over the top dramatic high school angst, which is odd considering no girl even looked at me in high school and I didn't experience the angst myself. Still, I have since had relationships and I can really feel for the characters, even if they seem to young to be going through things. Today, however, I watched an episode of Dawson's Creek which changed my mind about the show forever.

The episode was called "Downtown Crossing" and was focused only on 3 characters: Joey (Katie Holmes), a mugger, and the mugger's wife, played by Merecedes McNab of Buffy and Angel fame. The first part of the episode concentrated on the mugger taunting Joey, pulling a gun on her, stealing all her money out of her account, her cell phone, and even her coat. Obviously they could not use the normal cheery theme song so a dark one was put in it's place that just flashed the main actor's names, even though Joey was the only one in it. The mugger finally left her alone, and despite her smart ass mouth and a kick to his head, he didn't harm her. She tried walking home in the snow with no coat and it was sad. Then the mugger showed up and waved at her, just to get hit by a car moments later. Instead of running off, after getting her coat and things back, Joey calls an ambulance and stays with the man, talking to him about his family. She begins to compare the man, who is also a drug dealer, to her father, and feels sorry for him. At the hospital, his separated wife and daughter show up and the parallels between her father and the mugger continue to build. When the wife finds out who Joey is and the circumstances surrounding the accident, she leaves. The wife wants nothing to do with the mugger, but the daughter adores her father. They leave, and Joey is the only one who can stand by the mugger as he dies and they talk about her father and why he did what he did. In the end, Joey sees the wife and daughter one last time. The daughter innocently asks "Did my Daddy do something bad to hurt you?" Joey looks at the girl and says "No, he saved my life." She preceeds to tell the child that the mugger actually pushed her out of the way of the car, then silently Joey despoits her money in the wife's purse as she leaves. This episode made me feel and even cry for a drug dealer!!! I don't care how cheesy the show is. Only brilliant writing can pull that off. Amazing.

Oh, and I also discovered that Joshua Jackson (Pacey) directed an episode and Robert Duncan McNeil (Paris from Star Trek: Voyager) directed several. And Dawson's mom was the virgin in Caesar times from Mel Brooks' History of the World Part I! I love www.imdb.com!

Stuff

So I don't have much to write about except to say that I am moving back to Westerville tomorrow, and the stupid cable service won't be over to hook up our internet for an ENTIRE WEEK!!! So this is like vacation all over again. If you want to get ahold of me, and I hope you do, just call. And I am now a moderator for www.hotornot.com so go there and use it. It's fun. Oh, and I also got tagged by Jenn and Amanda to do some song thing where you list five songs and the artists that you are currently playing a lot, no particular order, and then tag 5 other people to do the same. I don't know if I know another five people who have blogs and who read mine, but Lisa and Jonathan and Nick, you'd better do it. :) Ok, you totally don't have to. But by me doing it, Jenn and Amanda know I still read their blogs regularly.

1. Mess I've Made - Ben Folds
2. What Ever Happended to My Part? - Sara Ramirez, Spamalot soundtrack
3. Rest In Peace - James Marsters, Buffy: Once More With Feeling

Dreams

Dreams are funny things. I had a dream last night about a girl that seemed familiar, and yet I had no idea who she was. In my dream, she asked me out, and we were soon boyfriend and girlfriend. I woke up feeling disoriented because it just seemed like I should know who she was, and yet I didn't. I wasn't sure I'd ever seen her before in my life. Until I walked out of Japan class this afternoon and saw her in Towers. It was totally freaky. I think I must have seen her before and then my subconscious just decided to throw the image back out. Yet I'm not sure. She isn't even the type of girl I would normally go for, and yet she is strangely attractive. Hmm. I don't know. Maybe I just need a nap. :)

On another note, declared Actor's Nightmare: Book One done on Saturday, had a nice copy printed out at Kinko's, and then changed my mind this afternoon. I think I am gonna do one more proofread and draft. Then it will be done. Seriously.

Don't Laugh At Me

So I have been under a great deal of stress lately, but as of 4:30pm this afternoon, and not before, I am fully registered in all of my classes and will be graduating. Thank you very much. That is a lot of worry off my shoulders. So tonight I worked on my book a little bit, and then kicked back to relax and blow off some steam. I chose to do it by watching Joey's season finale, which was kind of sad and made me a little depressed. So I had a smirnoff. I ended up drinking only two, so don't think I'm being an alcoholic. But it does help me relax. So here I was feeling sad at the tv and a little relaxed and I just needed a cry and a outpouring of emotion. A cleansing of my soul if you will. I need one every so often. I feel I have become very numb in real life and have trouble achieving that release, howevere for any of you that know me, I can easily get that release from a movie or favorite tv show. I chose to watch the Buffy The Vampire Slayer episode "The Body". If you don't know the series, that is a mid-fifth season episode where Buffy's mother dies. The opening sequence if Buffy finding her mother's cold stiff body on the couch. Needless to say I was quickly moved to tears and sobbing, allowing me my much needed release after the past month or two. So then Tim walks by as Buffy is trying to tell her 13 year old sister that she will never see her mom again and he laughs at me! And tells me to get over it, it's just a tv show! Now this is a great guy whom I have never been mad at. I am incredibly pissed right now. I yelled at him, but he probably thought I was joking. Oh, well. Just don't mess with me in that mood. Please. I need it to keep my sanity.

Randomness

In honor of my second viewing of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, my blog today will be completly random.
~ I have not posted in a week since right after my first viewing.
~I posted 11 times last month on 10 days. Yay! I met my goal.
~I have not been on a date in months, have not had a girlfriend in two years. My life has been shit, and not just in the love department. I wonder if that's connected? And here's the kicker. I am not unhappy for the most part. Although I do wish my life wasn't such shit. :)
~Hitchhiker is better the second time. There are some very clever things in it.
~I am absolutely horrible at reading people.

Don't Throw That In The House!

So you know how your parents never let your throw footballs in the house? Good thing this apartment isn't our parents' house! Last night Phil and I started a rousing game of keepaway from April, then Tim and Kayla joined in in guys vs. girls. It was so much. We played for over an hour. Though there were some close calls, we didn't actually break anything. Tim's mom came over, but though I asked her to, she didn't scold her son. She just laughed at us. Needless to say, the guys won. The girls pulled a view minor victories, and I can't believe April found the ball when we hid it in the refrigerator, but the men were victorious overall. We did out number the girls, but that's beside the point. It was so much fun.

TV Season Finale Updates - West Wing rocked. Of course. Desperate Housewives and Lost did recaps this week. Ugh. Seeing Enterprise on the big screen with Lisa and Michael on the Friday the 13th. 24 this week was so amazing! Chloe kicks ass!!! And Alias was equally enthralling. Elena Derevco (sp?) OMG!?!?!? Can't wait for the return of Lena Olin. That's it for this week

Arrrrgh

So life just pain sucks right now. Incredibly busy, and of course things are falling apart faster than I can fix them, as has been the case many times in my life, but I feel this is te worst. I may not even be at graduation...or in this apartment next week. I don't know. We'll see. Plus my parents have been particularly nasty as of late, having left me several angry voice mails about something I told them I would not have time to take care of until Saturday morning, but that I would do it on Saturday. So why another voice mail tonight? Because they don't listen! The worst part is, the idea of giving up has never seemed more attractive either. I was so tempted today to empty my bank account to pay rent and move into some little apartment and just not tell anyone where I was. Yes, I would still have to go to work and stuff so people would find me, and even if I didn't answer my phone people still have my number, and I really don't want to cut myself off from everyone permanently. Just for a day or two. Read Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus and you'll understand. I need my man cave. It is a very insiteful book. Anyway, the reason I didn't do all that was because as much as I fear the bad things, I fear losing the good things even more. Road trips. Throwing football in the courtyard last night. Movie nights on Sundays. Drinking with my friends. 24, Alias & Lost nights. And a girl. There is always a girl. The latest one came on rather suddenly and unexpectedly. Again, not someone I will probably ever date or even approach, but a girl is always inspirational. This one is a bit different, not because I think she would reject me, but because of awkwardness or hurt with friends because of it. So I'll drop it. Anyway, too bad it never amounts to anything. The belief that same day it will keeps me getting up in the morning. And not giving up. So in that way, thank you to all the girls I've ever crushed on, even though most of you never knew it, and I don't think any of you read this blog. :)

Great Actors

Great actors can make you feel great emotions. For instance, I went and saw Ice Princess yesterday with Jenn. The story was stupid and most of the actors were terrible. And yet the three lead actresses had me in tears. Michelle Trachtenberg, Kim Catrall, and Joan Cusack are all three amazing, not that I didn't know that! I think Michelle might make my very short list of actress I would love to be with. Which, I have thought about some more, and here is my official top (and only) ten:

10. Anne Hathaway (The Princess Diaries, Ella Enchanted)
9. Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Scooby Doo)
8.Cameron Diaz (The Sweetest Thing, There's Something About Mary)
7.Michelle Trachtenberg (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Eurotrip, Harriet the Spy)
6. Alicia Witt (Mr. Holland's Opus, Cybill)
5.Amy Acker (Angel, Catch Me If You Can, Wishbone)
4.Zoey Deschanel (Almost Famous, Elf, The Hithhiker's Guide to the Galaxy)
3. Alyson Hannigan (American Pie trilogy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
2. Sarah Silverman (School of Rock, Greg the Bunny, Star Trek: Voyager)
1. Meredith Monroe (Dawson's Creek, Minority Report)

Weekend Update

So SNL's Weekend Update this week? Hilarious as usual! The Gates thing was funny, and so was Amy Poehler's stupidity. It was great! Now a quick update of my weekend. Warning, it is not that interesting.

Friday I hung out with Kristen, Amanda, and Jenn playing cards and games. It was a blast! And I drank, but I've been doing that less and less to save money and lose weight, so I guess it's ok. Then right as I was going to bed, Michael called and so I got Laura and went to hang out with him and Lisa and Cindy and Evan until like 2:30. It was a lot of fun, but then I had to get up the next morning and work a 15 hour shift. Work is getting to be a huge drag and I hate it. Saturday night I came home, did laundry, and by the time that was done, I was exhausted and it was late again. I got up early Sunday to work. Sunday night was probably the highlight of my weekend, though. A friend came over and we watched a movie and then hung out really late (I know, sleep is important, blah blah blah :)). It was great. Except even after 10 hours of sleep yesterday, I am still bone tired and have class and another 8 hours of work today. I really don't want to go. Oh, and Monday was Lisa's birthday so her and Michael and I hung out and had Outback. It was also fun. Now I have to go shower and start my marathon day. I'll try to update again soon. I really had nothing to say today, but I'm dangerously close to not getting my 10 postings this month so I had to write.

Miscellaneous

I really don't have anything to write about, but it's been five days, and this is only my fifth post this month. I have to do five more in the next two weeks. I guess I could give you a few television updates. For instance, Armin Shimmerman (Quark on Deep Space 9 and Principal Snyder on Buffy the Vampire Slayer) made an appearance on Committed last week as the building's super. Sadly, he died in the episode. Oh, and William Shatner, because of the popularity and success he has had on Boston Legal, will not be appearing on Enterprise this season as previosuly announced by Paramount. Instead, they have signed Marina Sirtis and Jonathan Frakes (Troi and Riker fomThe Next Generation) to reprise their roles for the series finale. Brent Spiner is also expected to be back before the end of the season as the villian. So they are bringing half the cast of TNG in to finish off the show. I guess that gives it it's big send off, but it's a bit disappointing.

Also, Howard Dean was elected Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. I heard this news with mixed feelings. I am excited for him that he is in such a high profle job for the Democrats. Although as SNL said, if he's the head, who's going to be the neck? But this also means he cannot run for president in 2008, which saddens me. I wanted him to win in 2004 and am still unhappy about that scream taken totally out of context and ruining his chances. With Dean out of commission, I don't see any other choice for the Democrats but to run their leading candidate, Hilary Clinton. Don't get me wrong. I'm not a huge Hilary fan, and as SNL said, it's a nice, fresh new way for them o get their asses handed to them on a platter. However, who else stands a chance of winning? I mean, if they put Hilary out I think they only chance the Republicans have of beating her is to get the law changed and run Arnold. Those debates could be on Pay-Per-View! Talk about a circus! Anyway, the Clintons did ok for 8 years and other than my man Dean (and admittedly Arnold), I don't know who else might be a good president, so we'll just wait and see.

That Won't Be Delivered Until Tuesday

(about the title) I just keep saying that at work when we run out of things. Several of our big weekly orders come on Tuesday. It reminds me of the movie Star Trek: Generations when the Enterprise-B is in danger and nothing that would help them will be installed until Tuesday. If nothing else, I (and probably Jenn) find it amusing. Anyway...

My uncharaectristic lack of postng most probably stems from my uncharacteristic playing of the video games. I really want to finish the Buffy game and move onto other things. I have just three levels left and have almost everything unlocked. That would be super if I could finish that in a week or two, but I usually hardly ever play. I also bought Resident Evil because it was on sale and I had a gift card. It will have to wait until after Buffy, and should wait until after Lord of the Rings, since I bought those two games first. Hmm. The hard decisions of a bland life. :)
